As expected, the inside of the right knee of Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald is fine.
An MRI conducted today on Fitzgerald’s knee was negative, which as always in matters of this nature is positive.
“He had an MRI today that revealed a bone contusion and right knee sprain,” the Cardinals said. “However the knee is stable and there isn’t any more significant damage. He’ll be evaluated as the week progresses.”
The term “right knee sprain” is incredibly broad. There are many types and degrees of knee sprains.
For now, though, it appears that Fitzgerald won’t miss Sunday’s game at Detroit.
Fitzgerald injured the knee while falling to the ground after attempting to catch a third-quarter pass from Kurt Warner.
