PETERSON RETURNING TO JAGS’ STARTING LINEUP?

Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio and middle linebacker Mike Peterson have feuded this season, with Del Rio sending Peterson home from practice, deactivating him for a game, and demoting him to second string. But while the Del Rio-Peterson dust-up has become something of a symbol of the Jaguars’ declining fortunes this season, Peterson may be heading back to the starting lineup. The Orlando Sentinel reports that Peterson is likely to move back into the starting lineup after Daryl Smith suffered a groin injury Sunday against the Packers. “It’s not a time to make it spicy, one of my bro’s is down,’’ Peterson said, “I don’t want to celebrate on nothing like that.’’ Peterson said he hadn’t talked to Del Rio about it, but it’s expected that he’ll take back the starting spot at middle linebacker. Smith said he heard something pop when he injured his groin, and the injury is likely to land him on injured reserve.
