The Seahawks could see the return of some of their best players on Monday night.

Cornerback Devon Witherspoon (knee) and safety Julian Love (hamstring) were limited participants in Thursday’s practice. It was the second consecutive limited practice for both players, who have missed the past two games.

Cornerback Riq Woolen was a full participant after missing Sunday’s game with a concussion.

Defensive tackle Jarran Reed, who injured his knee late in Sunday’s win in Jacksonville, was a full participant.

Offensive tackle Josh Jones, who has not played since Sept. 21 because of a high ankle sprain, was a limited participant.

Linebacker Derick Hall (oblique) did not practice, while cornerback Nehemiah Pritchett (hamstring) was limited.

The Jaguars’ defense had no answer for Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba today in Jacksonville.

Smith-Njigba caught eight passes for 162 yards and a touchdown as the Seahawks beat the Jaguars 20-12.

Passes to Smith-Njigba were responsible for most of Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold’s yardage. Darnold finished 16-for-27 for 295 yards, with two touchdowns and no interceptions.

Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence repeatedly struggled to get rid of the ball when the Seahawks’ pass rush was coming for him, taking seven sacks while completing 27 of 42 passes for 258 yards, with two touchdowns and no interceptions. DeMarcus Lawrence and Byron Murphy had two sacks each for Seattle.

The Jaguars wanted to get rookie receiver Travis Hunter involved in the offense, targeting him seven times, but Hunter managed just four catches for 15 yards. He also had a very costly penalty, costing the Jaguars a touchdown by lining up offside.

Jaguars running back Travis Etienne had been playing well for the first five games of this season, but today the Seahawks shut him down. Etienne managed just 27 yards on 12 carries.

Today’s results leave both the Seahawks and the Jaguars at 4-2 for the season.

Kyler Murray won’t be part of the Cardinals’ bid to avoid a fourth straight loss.

Murray missed two days of practice this week with a foot injury and was listed as questionable after returning for a limited workout on Friday. A report on Sunday morning indicated that he will miss the game and the Cardinals made it official 90 minutes ahead of their game in Indianapolis against the Colts.

Jacoby Brissett will start for the Cardinals and he’ll be backed up by Kedon Slovis, who was signed off of the practice squad this week.

Seahawks defensive lineman Leonard Williams picked up one of the biggest fines of this NFL season for a hit with his helmet after the play was over on Sunday.

Williams was fined $46,371 for head butting Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton during a post-play skirmish in the end zone.

That’s more than twice as much as any other NFL player was fined in Week Five, but the NFL takes striking with the helmet seriously, whether it’s during a play or after.

Williams’ penalty gave the Buccaneers an automatic first down and half the distance to the goal line, and they scored a touchdown on the next play.

The Seahawks are set to be thin in the secondary in Jacksonville on Sunday.

Head coach Mike Macdonald said at his Friday press conference that the team will list cornerback Devon Witherspoon (knee), safety Julian Love (hamstring) and cornerback Riq Woolen (concussion) as doubtful to play. That makes it likely that all three players will be inactive as Macdonald tries to run his road record with Seattle to 10-1.

Macdonald also said that linebacker Derick Hall (oblique) and offensive lineman Josh Jones (ankle) have been ruled out.

There was better news for linebacker Ernest Jones (shoulder) and edge rusher DeMarcus Lawrence (quad). Both players are good to go against the Jaguars.
