Titans rookie quarterback Cam Ward described the team’s offense as “very mid” recently and the unit will get several opportunities to polish up their act in the coming weeks.

Head coach Brian Callahan said at a Wednesday press conference that the plan is for Ward and the rest of the team’s starters to play in all three of the team’s preseason games. The first of those games comes in Tampa on Saturday.

Callahan said that the starters will play a series or two in that game along with the work they do in a joint practice with the Bucs on Thursday. The team will also have a joint practice with the Falcons next week and Callahan said that playing time for their game against Atlanta will be determined by how that session goes.

The Titans wrap up the preseason at home against the Vikings and the hope is that Ward and company can earn a better review by the time all of that action is in the books.

A familiar face is back in the safety group for the Titans.

The team announced the signing of Quandre Diggs on Tuesday. Diggs started eight games for the team last year, but missed the rest of the season with a Lisfranc injury in his foot.

Diggs had 42 tackles for Tennessee last season. He played nine seasons for the Lions and Seahawks before making his way to the Titans.

The Titans doubled down on additions at safety by signing former Patriot Joshuah Bledsoe as well. Bledsoe had one tackle in four appearances for the Patriots in 2022 and 2023. The two new signings join Amani Hooker, Xavier Woods, Mike Brown, and third-round pick Kevin Winston at safety for Tennessee.

Edge rusher Titus Leo and safety Mark Perry were waived to make space for the new arrivals.

If there was any doubt, well, there shouldn’t have been.

Cam Ward has debuted on the Tennessee depth chart as QB1.

The possibility of any real competition ended once Will Levis landed on injured reserve, due to a lingering shoulder injury. The other alternatives are Brandon Allen and Tim Boyle.

The most amazing aspect of any of this comes from the lack of widespread coverage or discussion about the Titans’ prospects with Ward. He has a chance to be special. The Titans have a chance to perform the same below-radar assault on a playoff berth that the Texans did with C.J. Stroud a year ago.

The Titans probably prefer it this way. They should still be getting more attention. The No. 1 overall pick, a quarterback, is on track to start Week 1. It should be a bigger deal than it is.

Veteran defensive lineman Josiah Bronson is the latest player to parlay a stint in the UFL into another shot in the NFL.

The Titans announced that they have signed Bronson, who most recently played for the UFL’s Memphis Showboats during their spring 2025 season. Although most UFL players don’t make it to the NFL, the spring minor league has served as a springboard for several players who had previous NFL shots to get another one.

Bronson has spent time with the Saints, Browns, Cowboys, Dolphins, Patriots and Colts in the NFL, appearing in a total of eight NFL games.

The Titans released defensive lineman Devonte O’Malley to make room for Bronson on the roster.

The Titans made a change to their roster on Sunday morning.

They announced that they have signed offensive lineman Arlington Hambright. They waived wide receiver Ramel Keyton in a corresponding move.

Hambright signed to Tennessee’s practice squad last year and went on to play in four games on special teams for the Titans during the regular season. He was a 2020 Bears seventh-round pick and played nine games as a rookie. He also saw action for the Colts in 2023.

Keyton signed with the team after Treylon Burks fractured his collarbone in a training camp practice. He had one catch for the Raiders last season.
