NBC SPORTS PRESENTS THE 2020 SANTOS TOUR DOWN UNDER BEGINNING SUNDAY, JAN. 19, HIGHLIGHTED BY DAILY LIVE COVERAGE ON NBC SPORTS GOLD

25% Of All Proceeds from NBC Sports Gold ‘Cycling Pass’ Sales from Yesterday Through Sunday, Jan. 26, to Benefit Australia Wildfire Relief

Exclusive Commercial-Free Coverage Available with NBC Sports Gold’s “Cycling Pass”

STAMFORD, Conn. – January 16, 2020 – With wildfire relief efforts continuing in Australia and the cycling season beginning there this week, 25 percent of all proceeds from NBC Sports Gold “Cycling Pass” will be donated to The Australian Red Cross and WIRES, based on sales beginning yesterday and extending through the end of the 2020 Santos Tour Down Under on Sunday, Jan. 26.

The 2020 Santos Tour Down Under, which is held in Australia and raises the curtain on the 2020 World Tour cycling season, begins on Sunday, Jan. 19, at 3 a.m. ET with live and commercial-free coverage of the Schwalbe Classic, exclusively on NBC Sports Gold with a subscription to its “Cycling Pass.” NBC Sports Gold will present daily live coverage of the event, culminating Sunday, Jan. 26, at 7 p.m. ET.

NBCSN will present daily highlight shows of each stage at 2 a.m. ET, except for stage 5, which will air at 6 a.m. ET on Saturday, Jan. 25. A full event highlight show will air on NBCSN on Friday, Jan. 31, at 2 a.m. ET.

Phil Liggett calls the action, joined by by former professional cyclists and analysts Jens Voigt and Robbie McEwen.

Six past winners of the race will participate in this year’s edition: two-time defending champion Daryl Impey (Mitchelton-Scott); 2017 winner Richie Porte (Trek-Segafredo); 2015 winner Rohan Dennis (Team Ineos); 2011 winner Cameron Meyer (Mitchelton-Scott); 2010 and 2008 winner Andre Greipel (Lotto Soudal); and 2005 winner Luis Leon Sanchez Gil (Astana Pro Team).
