DP World Tour AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open Presented This Week on GOLF Channel

STAMFORD, Conn. – Dec. 13, 2023 Tiger Woods and his son Charlie headline the field of 20 golfing icons and their family members – including Justin Thomas, Nelly Korda, Annika Sorenstam, Lee Trevino, and Nick Faldo – teaming up at the PNC Championship at Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Fla., this Friday through Sunday, leading this week’s golf coverage on NBC, GOLF Channel and Peacock.

PNC CHAMPIONSHIP

NBC Sports presents comprehensive coverage of the PNC Championship, a 36-hole scramble tournament that features 20 teams consisting of a major champion or PLAYERS champion with a relative, including 10 World Golf Hall of Famers and 11 former World No. 1 players, totaling 62 major victories and more than 960 international victories. World Golf Hall of Famer Vijay Singh and son, Qass Singh, are looking to defend their title at this event after beating two-time major champion John Daly and John Daly II, who currently competes at the University of Arkansas, in last year’s event.

Additionally, the PNC Championship Pro-Am will air live on GOLF Channel and Peacock Friday at Noon ET.

Live tournament coverage begins Saturday at 1 p.m. ET on Peacock. Peacock will have exclusive Saturday and Sunday lead-in coverage prior to live coverage on NBC, GOLF Channel, and Peacock.

PGA TOUR Q-SCHOOL

The final stage of the PGA TOUR’s Qualifying School will be held at TPC Sawgrass and Sawgrass CC in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., this week. The top five finishers (including ties) will earn their PGA TOUR cards for the 2024 season. After cards are awarded, the next 40 finishers will earn exempt status through multiple reshuffles on the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour.

Notable players competing for their 2024 PGA TOUR card include Shad Tuten, who lost out on his 2024 card this fall due to a two-shot penalty, and James Nicholas, a former NCAA Division I football player and golfer at Yale.

DP WORLD TOUR: AFRASIA BANK MAURITIUS OPEN

The DP World Tour travels to the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius this week for the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open from Heritage Golf Club. This is the final event of the DP World Tour’s Opening Swing and is also an official event on the Sunshine Tour. 2010 Open champion Louis Oosthuizen helped design this course and will be competing in the field.

Live coverage gets underway Thursday at 3:30 a.m. ET on GOLF Channel.
