STAMFORD, Conn. – Nov. 8, 2023 – In a crucial game for both teams, the New York Jets (4-4) visit the Las Vegas Raiders (4-5) in the Week 10 edition of NBC’s Sunday Night Football. Coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET with Football Night in America, followed by kickoff at 8:20 p.m. ET from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev., on NBC, Peacock, and Universo.
The Jets lost to the Los Angeles Chargers, 27-6, on Monday night. Quarterback Zach Wilson threw for a season-high 263 yards while 2022 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson caught seven passes for 80 yards. The Jets’ defense ranks in the top 10 in the league in yards allowed per game (312.0) and points allowed per game (19.5), spearheaded by 2022 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Sauce Gardner. Since last season, Gardner has the second-most passes defensed (25), trailing only Jacksonville’s Darious Williams (30).
The Raiders beat the New York Giants, 30-6, last week in interim head coach Antonio Pierce’s debut. Rookie QB Aidan O’Connell, a fourth-round pick out of Purdue, threw for 209 yards in only his second career start, while running back Josh Jacobs rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Three-time All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams currently ranks first all-time in receiving touchdowns among active players (90) and fifth in career receiving yards (10,210). Defensive end Maxx Crosby, who had three sacks vs. the Giants, is tied for second in the league with 9.5 sacks this season.
The Jets-Raiders rivalry dates to the beginning of the American Football League in 1960. The Raiders lead the all-time series with a record of 26-20-2. The teams have met four times in the playoffs, with each winning twice. The Jets beat the Raiders in the 1968 AFL Championship Game, 27-23, en route to winning Super Bowl III, their lone championship. This will be the first matchup between the two teams since 2020.
Calling Jets-Raiders is Mike Tirico (play-by-play); 17-time Emmy Award winner Cris Collinsworth (analyst); and Melissa Stark (sideline reporter). Three-time Super Bowl referee Terry McAulay is the Sunday Night Football rules analyst.

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING:
Flexible scheduling will be used in Weeks 11-18. Additionally, in Weeks 5-10, flexible scheduling may be used in no more than two weeks. In Weeks 5-17, the schedule lists the games tentatively set for Sunday Night Football on NBC. Only Sunday afternoon games are eligible to be moved to Sunday night, in which case the tentatively scheduled Sunday night game would be moved to an afternoon start time.
For Week 18, two Saturday games and the Sunday night game will be announced no later than six days prior to January 8. The schedule does not list Saturday games or a Sunday night game in Week 18, but games with playoff implications will be moved to those time slots. Flexible scheduling ensures quality matchups in all Sunday time slots in those weeks and gives “surprise” teams a chance to play their way into primetime.
