“TOGETHER WE MAKE FOOTBALL” FEATURES THE STORY OF A NAVY SHIP WITH CLOSE TIES TO THE GREEN BAY PACKERS - THE USS GREEN BAY - TOMORROW MORNING ON TODAY

NBC Sports Group’s Josh Elliott Reports Live on TODAY

Green Bay Packers Host Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football

STAMFORD, Conn. – November 6, 2014 – Tomorrow’s “Together We Make Football” segment on TODAY, narrated by NBC Sports Group’s Josh Elliott, tells the story of the USS Green Bay, a navy ship with a special connection to the Green Bay Packers. Elliott will report the segment live for TODAY between 8 and 9 a.m. ET.

This week’s “Together We Make Football” segment profiles the USS Green Bay, a navy ship with a close relationship to the city and people of Green Bay, and the Packers. Aboard the ship, the spirit of the Packers can be seen and felt from the team’s iconic white ‘G’ logo located throughout, to passageways named after Packers’ legends, to the flight deck referred to as “Lambeau Field.” When the sailors and marines are deployed for months at a time, football and support from the people of Green Bay help connect them to home.

Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears (3-5) travel to Lambeau Field in Green Bay to face Aaron Rodgers and their NFC North rival Green Bay Packers (5-3) this Sunday, Nov. 9, on Sunday Night Football on NBC. Pre-game coverage begins with Football Night In America at 7 p.m. ET.
