Premier League Originals Documentary, Part of Premier League Kicks Series, Celebrates Increase in PL Popularity among Black Americans
STAMFORD, Conn. – February 29, 2024 – One of the Premier League’s most famous rivalries will be shown exclusively on Peacock this weekend, as Erling Haaland and second-place Manchester City host Marcus Rashford and Manchester United in the Manchester Derby this Sunday, March 3, at 10:30 a.m. ET, headlining this week’s Premier League coverage across NBC Sports’ platforms.
Manchester City are unbeaten in their past 11 Premier League matches and topped Bournemouth, 1-0, last Saturday behind a goal from Phil Foden. Manchester United had their five-match PL unbeaten streak snapped in a 2-1 defeat against Fulham last Saturday and currently sit in sixth place in the Premier League table. In the most recent edition of the Manchester Derby on Oct. 29, 2023, Haaland scored twice and assisted on Foden’s goal, as City defeated United by a score of 3-0 at Old Trafford. Jon Champion and Stephen Warnock will have the call from Etihad Stadium. Peacock will also present the Manchester Derby live in Spanish.
This weekend’s coverage begins Saturday with Premier League Mornings at 9 a.m. ET on USA Network and Peacock, followed by six matches live at 10 a.m. ET: Everton v. West Ham (USA Network, Universo), Fulham v. Brighton & Hove Albion (Peacock), Nottingham Forest v. Liverpool (Peacock), Newcastle v. Wolverhampton Wanderers (Peacock), Brentford v. Chelsea (Peacock) and Tottenham v. Crystal Palace (Peacock). The Goal Rush whip-around show will stream live on Peacock Saturday at 10 a.m. ET, providing viewers the most compelling action in real time and on replay so they won’t miss a single goal or key play.
At 12:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, fourth-place Aston Villa will visit Luton Town (USA Network, Universo). Peter Drury and Lee Dixon will have the call from Kenilworth Road.
Sunday’s coverage begins at 7 a.m. ET with Premier League Mornings on USA Network, followed by Burnley hosting Bournemouth at 8 a.m. ET (USA Network, Telemundo, Universo). Pre-game coverage of the Manchester Derby begins at 10 a.m. ET on USA Network and Peacock leading into exclusive match coverage on Peacock at 10:30 a.m. ET.
This weekend’s coverage concludes on Monday, March 4, as Sheffield United host Arsenal at 3 p.m. ET on USA Network and Universo.
Rebecca Lowe hosts Saturday’s and Sunday’s Premier League Mornings, Premier League Live and Goal Zone shows alongside former Premier League player Robbie Mustoe and former USMNT and Premier League player Tim Howard. On Monday, Paul Burmeister hosts coverage alongside Mustoe and former Premier League player Danny Higginbotham.
Throughout the 2023-24 season, Premier League coverage will be featured across NBC, Peacock and USA Network.
