COMCAST SPORTSNET & CSNCHICAGO.COM TO CELEBRATE CHINESE NEW YEAR FOR MONDAY NIGHT’S CHICAGO BULLS TELECAST

Game telecast to showcase in-game Chinese New Year-themed activities at the United Center;

CSNChicago.com to host a special Chinese New Year web page filled with Chinese-English Bulls/NBA translations, original video content, photo galleries and much more!

Chicago, IL (February 8, 2013) – In conjunction with the Chicago Bulls, Comcast SportsNet will showcase the NBA Chinese New Year Celebration at the United Center this coming Monday, February 11 for the Bulls home court match-up against the San Antonio Spurs. In addition, Comcast SportsNet’s website, CSNChicago.com, will be providing fans with even more original content to usher in the “Year of the Snake.”

The special game telecast’s coverage will begin LIVE from the United Center at 6:30 PM on McDonald’s Bulls Pre-Game Live featuring hosts Mark Schanowski and Kendall Gill, which will lead into the network’s “NBA Chinese New Year Celebration” Bulls vs. Spurs game telecast at 7:00 PM featuring Comcast SportsNet’s always-entertaining announcing tandem of Neil Funk and Stacey King.

In addition to a game open video featuring CSN’s Luke Stuckmeyer from Chicago’s Chinatown and the incorporation of Chinese language text placed throughout the game telecast, fans can look forward to a number of highlighted Chinese New Year-themed activities from the UC, including “The Magical Strings of Youth” children’s violin group performing the National Anthem and video of the Chicago Chinese Cultural Center on-court performance of “Lion Dance” among the festivities. As part of the NBA’s Chinese New Year Celebration 2013, this Comcast SportsNet special “NBA Chinese New Year Celebration” Bulls telecast will also be nationally-televised live on China’s CCTV-5 broadcast station to millions more overseas.

In addition, Comcast SportsNet’s website, CSNChicago.com, will provide viewers with even more “NBA Chinese New Year Celebration” coverage via a special dedicated web page that will feature original video content, game preview stories (including, for example, Bulls “Insider” Aggrey Sam’s game preview story translated into Chinese), plus - Stacey King’s “Stacey-isms” translated into Chinese, along with a heavy volume of social media fan interactivity taking place throughout the day/night on the network’s Twitter (@CSNChicago) and Facebook social media hubs (Facebook.com/CSNChicago).
