NBC Sports Presents Drone Racing League Races This Season
STAMFORD, Conn. – Nov. 17, 2022 – NBC Sports presents coverage of the Drone Racing League’s 2022-23 Algorand DRL World Championship Season opener this Saturday, Nov. 19 at 1:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
The 2022-23 DRL Algorand World Championship Season launches with the Race in the Cloud presented by Google Cloud this Saturday at PayPal Park in Silicon Valley, where the world’s best drone pilots race high-speed drones through an immersive neon-colored aerial course. Elite pilots will navigate a fast outdoor track with several tight turns, complicated by elevation changes.
During the season, the world’s 12 best drone pilots race high-speed drones in spectacular courses across all dimensions. The elite pilots will aim to dominate 14 Levels of racing through iconic sports arenas, DRL SIM virtual maps, and a metaverse world to be crowned the World Champion.
DRL race locations include: loanDepot park, home stadium of Major League Baseball’s Miami Marlins, in Miami, Fla. (tickets available for purchase HERE), and Esports Stadium Arlington in Arlington, Tex. Virtual courses in the DRL SIM game on PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Epic Games include the U.S. Air Force Boneyard map.
