STAMFORD, Conn. – April 28, 2023 – NBC Sports presents highlights of the 2022-23 Drone Racing League Algorand World Championship Season this Saturday, April 29 at 2 p.m. ET on NBC, showing off all the electrifying and competitive moments that made this year’s season one for the record books.
Throughout the 2022-23 DRL Algorand World Championship season, the world’s 12 best drone pilots raced high-speed drones through immersive, intensive aerial courses that featured tight turns, elevation changes, and extremely fast paces. Highlights presented on Saturday include MCKFPV’s season championship-clinching performance at the Miami 3-0-FLY Semi-Finals, Amari’s win at the Miami 3-0-FLY Finals, and more.
This season saw the Drone Racing League compete in various real-life and virtual locations, including at loanDepot Park – home of Major League Baseball’s Miami Marlins – in Miami, Fla., Esports Stadium Arlington in Arlington, Tex., the largest dedicated esports facility in North America, PayPal Park in Silicon Valley, Calif., home of Major League Soccer’s San Jose Earthquakes, the U.S. Air Force Boneyard map in the DRL SIM video game, and more.
