New York Mets Baseball Returns to SNY

[New York, February 14, 2013] SNY, the official television home of the New York Mets, New York Jets and Big East Conference, today announced the network’s comprehensive Spring Training and Regular Season coverage of the 2013 New York Mets. SNY will significantly expand its all-inclusive New York Mets programming lineup with the additions of two news shows: Mets First Pitch presented by Cadillac and Mets Insider presented by W.B. Mason.

Mets First Pitch presented by Cadillac will air prior to Pepsi Max Mets Pre Game Live – and feature a variety of elements, including:

In-depth instructional segments with Ron Darling, Keith Hernandez and Bob Ojeda

►Terry Collins pre-game presser

Exclusive one-on-one’s with SNY’s Mets on-air talent interviewing New York Mets players and opposing players, managers and GM’s

Interactive social media elements

Viewer/fan phone calls with SNY’s Mets on-air talent

Player profile features

Mets Insider presented by W.B. Mason will debut Sunday, March 31st at 6:00pm and be produced in a magazine style format. It will feature shows on a variety of topics, including dedicated episodes focused on the Mets draft and prospects, player profiles, “Where are they Now” episodes, All-Star game features and much more. The host for Mets Insider presented by W.B. Mason will be announced at a later date.

For the 2013 season, SNY will feature more than 130 exclusive games beginning with its first Spring Training game on Saturday, February 23rd against division rival Washington Nationals – with coverage beginning at 11:30am. Spring Training on SNY is presented by Citi. SNY’s Emmy Award-winning Regular Season coverage will kick off with the New York Mets home opener against the San Diego Padres on Monday April 1st with pre game coverage starting at 11:30am.

Ron Darling, Keith Hernandez, Gary Cohen and Kevin Burkhardt – widely recognized as the best broadcast team in all of baseball – will cover the action all-season long on SNY. Hall-of-Famer Ralph Kiner will return to the broadcast booth for his 52nd season covering the Mets as a contributing analyst. Emmy Award-winning producer and director – Gregg Picker and Bill Webb – will return in their roles for all SNY-produced Mets telecasts.

Lead studio analyst Bob Ojeda and host Chris Carlin will anchor Pepsi Max Mets Pre Game Live as well as W.B. Mason Post Game Live, which are broadcast from SNY’s street-level studio in the heart of Manhattan. SNY will again produce a comprehensive post-game show following every Mets game, including those on PIX11, FOX and ESPN.
