Who says Arsenal refuse to spend any of their more than $300 million cash reserve?

Sure, they might not be spending it how Gunners fans would prefer them to do — you know, signing world-class players in the transfer market — but they’ve already got a pretty decent squad of quality players, right? And, at least now, they’re committed to keeping them at the Emirates — rather than selling them off to Manchester City, Manchester United and Barcelona — which wasn’t the case three short years ago.
If you’re an Arsenal fan, at least you won’t have to watch the likes of Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud, Theo Walcott or Santi Cazorla win league titles elsewhere in the next one to three years, as all the above Gunners favorites have recently signed new, long-term contracts, or, according to a Thursday report by the Daily Mail, will be offered a new deal in the coming weeks.
The report also states that Nacho Monreal, who has overtaken Kieran Gibbs as Arsenal’s full-time starting left back, will be offered a new deal to keep the 29-year-old at the club beyond his current deal which began in 2013. Mikel Arteta, 33, could also be in line for a new deal, though his Arsenal future is reportedly yet to be decided.
Arsenal: Not a selling club anymore, but still not a buying club either.
