West Ham is hoping to deepen its attack at the expense of the South coast.

The Hammers reportedly had a $36 million bid for striker Callum Wilson and midfielder Matt Ritchie rejected by Bournemouth.

Wilson, 24, missed six months for the Cherries after scoring five times in his first 7 Premier League matches. That includes a hat trick against the Hammers.

Ritchie, 26, was critical to Bournemouth’s safety campaign, scoring four goals and adding six assists in 36 PL matches. He played mainly on the right side.

The Cherries will be one an interesting team to follow this offseason, after weathering significant injuries to stay in the Premier League. Under the guidance of chairman Jeff Mostyn, they could well be buyers, not sellers.

West Ham formally announced the long-rumored pickup of Borussia Monchengladbach defensive midfielder Havard Nordveit earlier Monday.
