Cristiano Ronaldo has been handed a two-game ban after being sent off for Real Madrid on Saturday.
Ronaldo, 29, was handed a straight red card after kicking out at Cordoba’s Edimar in Real’s last-gasp 2-1 win in La Liga.

The reigning two-time Ballon d’Or winner has since apologized for his actions in the match, as he appeared to also throw a punch at Cordoba defender Jose Angel Crespo.
Despite having Ronaldo sent off, Real rallied to win late in the game ans stay top of La Liga as Gareth Bale dispatched a stoppage penalty kick at the Estadio Nuevo Arcangel.
With Ronaldo accepting his ban for violent conduct, the Portuguese forward will now miss Real’s upcoming La Liga matches with Real Sociedad and Sevilla. But Real’s leading goalscorer will be available for selection for the derby against bitter crosstown rivals Atletico Madrid on Feb. 7.
