No one does “debuts” like Kenny Cooper.

The New York Red Bulls striker hit for an important, early goal Sunday in the marquee club’s home opener. Nothing new for Cooper.

He scored in his first match at (then-named) Pizza Hut Park for Dallas, back during a 2006 victory for his home town side. The big fellow scored in his debut for 1860 Munich back in August of 2009, not long after his summer transfer abroad.

Cooper struck last year in the Portland Timbers’ first MLS match (the franchise’s first league goal, in fact.)

And he struck in this, his New York Red Bulls’ home debut, executing perfectly after Thierry Henry put him clean through with a sweet, pinpoint pass.

Oh, it was Cooper’s 50th MLS goal, as well. Here it is.
