It’s not rare to find Edinson Cavani running to the corner flag celebrating a goal for Paris Saint-Germain. But this celebration didn’t go as the Uruguayan had planned.

After converting from the spot to give PSG a 3-1 lead over Lens, Cavani mimicked shooting a gun as his celebration. Rather harmless, the referee took exception to the celebration, and gave Cavani a yellow card. The striker then grabbed the referee’s arm to speak with him, leading to an immediate second booking as Cavani was sent off.

Does the punishment fit the crime? Or was the referee a little too eager to go into his pocket?
