Vaughn Dalzell breaks down how he’s betting the matchup between the Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Angels.

The Los Angeles Angels have won two-straight over the Boston Red Sox and look for the home sweep as James Paxton and Tyler Anderson take the mound.
Paxton pitched twice this season for Boston and went 11.0 innings with three earned runs and 14 strikeouts to three walks. Paxton’s permitted nine hits and two of those were home runs. He’s faced two terrific offenses between the Cardinals and Padres, so the Angels will be similar or a slight step down.
Anderson has started eight games for the Angels and Los Angeles is 5-3 with three-straight wins. However, at home, Anderson owns a 7.20 ERA over three starts and 15.0 innings. Anderson’s allowed a .297 OBA at home with 14 runs and 12 allowed in that span.
Boston has a good matchup with Anderson and historically, the Red Sox hitters have a .388 BA over 101 plate appearances and a 10.9 K%. Eight different Boston hitters have history against Anderson, so I like the Red Sox to avoid getting swept in L.A. with a win here.
The Red Sox have lost three-straight after winning four in a row, while the Angels have won five of the pst six, including three-straight wins. I like the pitching edge for Boston and the fact both teams have tomorrow off.
Boston can steal one before making the trip to Arizona, so I played the Red Sox ML at -120 odds and would go out to -130.
