Jackson Jobe allowed five runs (four earned) in five innings and took the loss against the Twins on Monday.
Jobe gave up six hits, walked two and struck out four. He fell to 1-2 in five starts with the loss. Jobe was victimized by two home runs, allowing a solo shot to Kody Clemens in the fourth inning and a three-run shot to Ryan Jeffers in the fifth inning. Jobe has only allowed four home runs in 23 1/3 innings, but more concerning is his 4.63 ERA and 19 strikeouts. He’s lined up to face the Guardians on the road on Saturday.
