Reds optioned OF Steve Selsky to Triple-A Louisville.
Selsky struck out in his one at-bat with the Reds. He was only in the majors for four days.

Nathan Lukes singled twice, knocked in two runs and walked as the Blue Jays bested Team Canada 10-7 on Tuesday.
It briefly looked like Lukes might get another extended chance in left field after Anthony Santander was ruled out last month, but since that was quickly followed by the acquisition of Jesús Sánchez, Lukes is again in line to serve as a fourth outfielder while everyone is healthy. He was really useful when needed last season, hitting .255/.323/.407 while also playing quality defense. He’ll probably often replace Sánchez late in games this season.
Target Abreu late for fantasy RP amid Hader injury
Eric Samulski and James Schiano look at the 'landmine-y' world of fantasy relief pitchers and explain why Josh Hader's injury gives Bryan Abreu a massive boost in value.
  • TOR Pitcher #34
Kevin Gausman threw two scoreless innings against Team Canada on Tuesday.
Gausman struck out two in his second spring outing, and the only hit against him was a soft grounder from Otto Lopez.
  • BOS Outfield #3
Ceddanne Rafaela had a three-run homer and a two-run double as The Netherlands bested the Orioles 8-5 in an exhibition Tuesday.
All four of Rafaela’s balls in play today were hit at least 98 mph, and he reached on an error in his first at-bat. Rafaela was also off to a fast start in Red Sox camp, having gone 5-for-13 with two homers and two doubles before leaving the team. Hopefully, he’s in line for another little step forward offensively in his age-25 season.
  • BAL Pitcher #28
Trevor Rogers was lit up for six runs in 2 1/3 innings by The Netherlands in Tuesday’s exhibition.
Rogers gave up homers to Ceddanne Rafela and Ray-Patrick Didder on a tough day against a lineup loaded with right-handers. His velocity was fine today, and he’d opened the spring with five scoreless innings coming into this one. But, obviously, he wasn’t facing Ray-Patrick Didder in those games.
  • BAL Pitcher #64
Dean Kremer pitched four scoreless innings in relief Tuesday versus The Netherlands.
Kremer struck out two while extending out to 53 pitches. He’ll now leave the Orioles to join Team Israel in the WBC.
  • BAL 1st Baseman #25
Pete Alonso went 2-for-2 with a two-run homer against The Netherlands on Tuesday.
The homer off Ryjeteri Merite was the third that Alonso has hit this spring, though it won’t count in his statistics. His 110-mph single was hit even harder than his 384-foot homer.
  • NYM Infield #10
Marcus Semien went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk, and two runs scored in a 6-3 win over Nicaragua on Tuesday.
Semien’s double was a 104 mph shot to lead off the game. He would later come around to score on a sacrifice fly by Bo Bichette. Semien would then walk in his second at-bat and score on a single by Francisco Alvarez. The 35-year-old is looking to have a bounce-back season in his first year with the Mets, and if he keeps getting on base like this, he has an outside shot at 90 or more runs scored.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #21
Jonah Tong allowed one run on five hits in 2 2/3 innings against Nicaragua on Tuesday.
Tong also struck out three and didn’t walk a single batter in the outing. Obviously, the five hits are not what you’d like to see, but Tong had a 63 percent strike rate and also racked up a 27 percent whiff rate. His cutter, in particular, was effective for him on Tuesday. The issue was that he threw first-pitch strikes to just five of the 12 batters he faced, which caused him to try to get into many hitter-friendly counts that led to those base hits. He’ll look to remedy that his next time out.
  • NYM Relief Pitcher #78
Robert Stock pitched three scoreless innings for Team Israel in a 1-0 win over the Marlins on Tuesday.
Garrett Stubbs tripled in the only run of the game today. Stock averaged 95 mph with his fastball as a Triple-A starter last spring, but he’s been up at 96.5 mph in his two appearances this spring and his cutter has been reliably in the low-90s. He’s going to be a long shot to make the Mets out of spring training, but he could see time in middle relief later on.
  • FA Relief Pitcher #43
Free agent Tommy Kahnle worked a scoreless inning in Team Israel’s exhibition against the Marlins on Tuesday.
Kahnle’s velocity was fine today, with his fastball down about one mph from last year but his trusty changeup up 0.5 mph. The 36-year-old was somewhat disappointing with the Tigers last year, but he still has a 3.26 ERA in 146 innings over the last three seasons. He should be able to find work after the WBC.
