Dansby Swanson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run against the Brewers on Monday.

Swanson’s home run was his seventh of the season. He hit a two-run shot off Brandon Sproat in the fifth inning. After allowing another run, Sproat was chased from the ballgame before completing five innings. Swanson is still hitting .194 on the season despite his power.

Jake Bauers

MIL 1st Baseman #9

Jake Bauers went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and four RBI against the Cubs on Monday.

Bauers’ home run was his seventh of the season. He hit a three-run shot off Shota Imanaga in the fifth inning. While Bauers has hit well to this point in the season, with Jackson Chourio and Christian Yelich back from injury, he could be squeezed for playing time.

Willi Castro

COL 2nd Baseman #3

Willi Castro doubled twice to help the Rockies to a 7-6 win over the Rangers on Sunday.

Castro’s sixth-inning double scored Braxton Fulford and gave the Rockies a 7-3 cushion. The 29-year-old veteran has eight doubles on the season, and he’s now slugging a less-than-spectacular .351 on the season; even more unspectacular when you consider his home park. Castro likely will be a trade candidate this summer, and his utility abilities help clubs a lot more than fantasy players.

Justin Foscue

TEX 1st Baseman #14

Justin Foscue homered and doubled twice, but the Rangers fell to the Rockies on Monday.

Foscue drove in three runs in the contest, and he also drew a walk. The former first-round selection hit his second homer of the campaign off Jose Quintana, and both doubles scored runs — and both came off Quintana. He’s been excellent in his limited sample with a slash of .280/.308/.600, and while it’s understandable — and probably wise — to be skeptical, it’s obviously feasible that Foscue is a late bloomer.

Juan Mejia

COL Relief Pitcher #47

Juan Mejia worked the final inning to pick up a save against the Rangers on Monday.

Mejia threw 13-of-16 pitches for strikes, and he didn’t allow a hit while striking out one. It’s the third save of the season, and with Victor Vodnik struggling again Monday while allowing three runs without recording an out, it’s very possible that Mejia will get any save chances that Antonio Senzatela is unavailable for.

Jose Quintana

COL Starting Pitcher #62

Jose Quintana coughed up three runs over 5 2/3 innings against the Rangers on Monday with four strikeouts.

Quintana allowed seven hits and also issued a walk. The southpaw had issues with Justin Foscue, as Foscue was hit a homer and two RBI doubles off Quintana before exiting. He generating just seven swings and misses on 94 pitches, and that’s not a surprise; Quintana hasn’t been a bat-misser for some time now. He’ll take a 4.04 ERA and likely have a similar underwhelming outing against the Diamondbacks come Saturday.

Christian Yelich

MIL Designated Hitter #22

Christian Yelich went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI against the Cubs on Monday.

Yelich’s home run was his third of the season and second in as many days. The 34-year-old hit a solo shot off Shota Imanaga in the second inning. Yelich’s back has already cost him four games since returning from the injured list. While his health remains somewhat of an obstacle, there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with his bat.

Shota Imanaga

CHC Starting Pitcher #18

Shota Imanaga allowed eight runs in 4 1/3 innings and took the loss against the Brewers on Monday.

Imanaga gave up nine hits, walked three and struck out two. The 32-year-old left-hander allowed only one run in the first three innings before the Brewers scored a combined seven runs in the fourth and fifth innings. It was undoubtedly Imanaga’s worst outing of the year. He was having such a good season that his ERA is merely 3.38 now. He’ll face the Astros at home this weekend in a bounce-back spot.

Brandon Sproat

MIL Starting Pitcher #23

Brandon Sproat allowed three runs in 4 2/3 innings and got a no-decision in the Brewers’ 9-3 victory over the Cubs on Monday.

Sproat gave up three hits, walked three and struck out five. He was staked to an 8-0 lead, but couldn’t complete the fifth inning and thus failed to record the win despite the lopsided score. All three runs Sproat allowed came in the fifth inning on a two-run home run by Dansby Swanson and an RBI double by Michael Busch. It was an unfortunate ending to a promising start. Sproat will take a 5.75 ERA into his next start against the Dodgers at home this weekend.
