Cam Eden has made the Blue Jays’ Wild Card roster.
Eden is there almost exclusively because of his speed. The 25-year-old went 53-for-57 in stolen base attempts in Triple-A this season, so the Blue Jays will pick their spots for when to maximize his value.

Garrett Mitchell went 2-for-4 and hit a go-ahead homer in the seventh inning as the Brewers edged the Guardians 2-1 on Tuesday.
Both Mitchell and Brice Turang went 2-for-3 with a homer in the contest, while everyone else on the Brewers finished 0-for-22. Mitchell’s homer off Hunter Gaddis left his bat at 111.8 mph and projected at 440 feet. Consistent contact might forever elude him, but that’s the kind of thing he can do when he connects. He’s worth playing in mixed leagues while healthy and starting regularly.
Gomez becoming trustworthy closer for Twins
Eric Samulski discusses Twins closer Yoendrys Gomez's recent performances on the mound, in which he's had two saves in his last three appearances and is turning out to be a reliable option in Minnesota's bullpen.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #54
Robert Gasser threw 5 2/3 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits, in a no-decision Tuesday against the Guardians.
Gasser departed with a 1-0 lead that Aaron Ashby blew in the seventh before Ashby got his 10th win. Gasser is still looking for his first, having gone 0-3 with a 4.88 ERA in his five starts. This was his best showing to date, but it would have been more impressive if the Guardians lineup wasn’t so depleted. If he stays in the rotation, he’ll face the Braves on Sunday. However, the Brewers could have Brandon Woodruff back then.
  • MIL Relief Pitcher #26
Aaron Ashby notched his 10th win in 10 decisions after allowing a game-tying run in the seventh Tuesday against the Guardians.
Ashby’s wins in middle relief this year have almost exclusively been genuine, but this was a vulture; he coughed up Robert Gasser’s 1-0 lead and then was put in line for the decision after Garrett Mitchell homered in the bottom of the seventh. It’s only the second time one of his wins followed a blown save. Ashby is the first pitcher to 10 wins this year. Davis Martin could have beaten him, but he got smoked by the Yankees tonight. Gavin Williams is the only other pitcher with nine wins at the moment.
  • MIL Relief Pitcher #29
Trevor Megill fanned two in a perfect ninth to protect a one-run lead for his ninth save Tuesday against the Guardians.
Abner Uribe set him up with a hitless eighth. Megill has been pretty clearly back in the closer’s role for nearly a month now, but this is his first save in June. He took a blown save but wound up with a win in his only other chance against the Rockies on June 5.
  • CLE Starting Pitcher #44
Slade Cecconi held the Brewers to one run and three hits over 5 2/3 innings on Tuesday.
Cecconi allowed three hits, walked two and struck out four in another solid showing. The Guardians don’t let him complete six innings very often, so he has just three quality starts, and they don’t score for him very often, so he has only three wins. However, he’s started June with a 2.34 ERA in three starts, all of them no-decisions. He’ll face the Astros next.
  • MIL 2nd Baseman #2
Brice Turang went 2-for-3 with a homer and a walk against the Guardians on Tuesday.
Turang’s batting average has been tumbling, but he has four homers this month and 11 for the year. He’s on pace for 25, which would top his 2025 breakthrough by seven. He totaled 13 over 292 games in his first two years before hitting 18 last season.
  • MIL Shortstop #87
Cooper Pratt went 0-for-3 and committed an error at shortstop in his major league debut Tuesday against the Guardians.
The error came on an airmailed throw, but it led to no harm. All three of his at-bats produced groundouts, but at least he can take heart that six of the Brewers’ other eight starters also went hitless tonight and the team won anyway. Pratt is expected to have a significant runway here to show that he belongs. Joey Ortiz is just the backup shortstop and probably the third baseman against lefties for now.
  • STL Right Fielder #22
Cardinals OF prospect Joshua Báez went 4-for-5 with four homers and seven RBI on Tuesday for Triple-A Memphis.
Báez put together an unbelievable fireworks display on the doorstep of the majors and leads the entire International League with 23 round-trippers through 62 games. He’s also chipped in 12 stolen bases, just for good measure. The 22-year-old top prospect has some serious contact concerns that threaten to cap his realistic power ceiling once he reaches the highest level, but there’s no denying his potential as an impactful power/speed combo fantasy contributor right away. He’s at least worthy of a speculative roster spot in fantasy formats on the chance that the Cardinals give him an opportunity in the near future.
  • NYY Catcher #28
Austin Wells (neck) went 0-for-3 with a walk on Tuesday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Wells is trending towards making it back to New York’s lineup at some point later this week after hitting the injured list with cervical headaches earlier this month. The 26-year-old backstop logged seven inning behind the dish in his first rehab contest.
  • TOR Designated Hitter #4
George Springer went 2-for-3 with a walk, a home run, a steal, and three RBI in a 6-1 win over the Red Sox on Tuesday.
Springer hasn’t had a great season after finding the Fountain of Youth in 2025. He’s slashing just .215/.309/.374 on the season with seven home runs, 19 RBI, and four steals. He has two home runs in his last five games while going 6-for-17 with a 2/7 K/BB ratio. However, rather than this being a sign of a breakthrough, we’d rather use this as an opportunity to see if you can trade Springer to a manager who thinks a turnaround is coming.
