Dodgers optioned RHP Michael Petersen to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Petersen returns to the minors after giving up three runs in an inning last night. He has a 6.43 ERA in 11 appearances this season, though that comes with a 3-0 record.

Eugenio Suárez (oblique) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Wednesday.
Reds manager Terry Francona confirmed Suárez will head out on a rehab assignment after spending a couple weeks recovering from a left oblique strain that put him on the shelf back on April 25. The 34-year-old veteran slugger will need a handful of contests to knock off some rust and get back up to speed prior to returning to Cincinnati’s lineup, most likely early next week.
Temper power expectations for Guerrero Jr.
After finally hitting his first home run of May, Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s power outage to start the season could actually be a sign of things to come for the remainder of year, where he could finish with 20-25 home runs.
  • CIN Catcher #35
Reds manager Terry Francona told reporters Jose Trevino (hamstring) will miss 3-4 weeks.
Trevino hit the injured list over the weekend and has been officially diagnosed with a Grade 1 left hamstring strain. The 33-year-old veteran backup catcher will be on the shelf until at least early-to-mid June.
  • STL Relief Pitcher #68
Cardinals sent LHP Jared Shuster outright to Triple-A Memphis.
It’s the second time this season already that Shuster cleared waivers and remains with the Cardinals as emergency relief depth. The 27-year-old lefty has posted a respectable 2.35 ERA across 7 2/3 innings over four appearances in the big leagues this season.
  • MIA Starting Pitcher #93
Robby Snelling (elbow) will visit specialist Dr. Keith Meister on Thursday.
It’s the first tangible update the Marlins have provided since Snelling hit the injured list with a UCL sprain in his left elbow last week. The 22-year-old top pitching prospect will presumably meet with the renowned specialist to determine whether he’s dealing with ligament damage that will require a surgical procedure. It’s abundantly clear that Snelling is facing a lengthy absence, even if he manages to avoid elbow surgery. There should be a clearer picture regarding his next steps at some point in the coming days.
  • MIN Center Fielder #25
Byron Buxton (hip) remains out of the lineup for the fifth consecutive game on Monday against the Astros.
Buxton participated in pregame workouts over the weekend but has been held out of game action since last Wednesday due to right hip flexor soreness. Twins manager Derek Shelton told reporters prior to Monday’s series opener that Buxton is “very close” to returning to the lineup. However, it’ll be James Outman patrolling center field on Monday night. It certainly sounds like there’s a strong possibility Buxton is ready for Tuesday’s contest, which is a massive relief for fantasy managers.
  • KC Relief Pitcher #34
Royals recalled RHP Eli Morgan from Triple-A Omaha.
Morgan has been brought back to the big leagues to fortify Kansas City’s bullpen with starter Kris Bubic (elbow) hitting the injured list. The 30-year-old compiled a strong 2.61 ERA across 10 1/3 innings over seven appearances during a brief stint with the Royals last month.
  • KC Starting Pitcher #50
Royals placed LHP Kris Bubic on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to May 15, with left elbow soreness.
It sounds like a precautionary decision by Kansas City after Bubic told reporters he experienced more soreness than usual following his last start against the White Sox where he allowed five runs over four innings. The 28-year-old lefty will undergo further evaluation, and likely imaging, to determine whether he’s dealing with anything from a structural standpoint. At a minimum, he’ll wind up missing at least a couple weeks.
  • CLE Relief Pitcher #50
Guardians optioned RHP Codi Heuer to Triple-A Columbus.
Heuer pitched two innings for the Guardians while he was up. He should get another chance for innings this summer.
  • CLE Relief Pitcher #43
Guardians activated RHP Shawn Armstrong (groin) from the 15- day injured list.
Armstrong been sidelined for almost a month with the injury. He should settle right back into a regular role in the middle innings for the Guardians.
  • BOS 3rd Baseman #5
Caleb Durbin is not in the starting lineup for the Red Sox on Monday against the Royals.
Nick Sogard is playing third base and batting ninth on Monday. Despite Durbin’s struggles at the plate this season, he has been tremendous defensively for a Red Sox team that spent the off season adding ground ball pitchers to its rotation. As a result, we imagine this will be more of a mini reset for Durbin, rather than the Red Sox making a change at third base.
