Colts sophomore RB Tyler Varga said the effects of the concussion which sent him to injured reserve in October lasted four months.
Varga understandably considered quitting football after dealing with such a prolonged and serious recovery, but he ultimately decided to give it another go. “Obviously, it was a hard decision, an extremely hard decision,” he said. “But it comes down to this: I’m back here because I wanted to compete again.” With little behind Frank Gore on the depth chart, Varga may be able to carve out a role.
