Brian Bullington took top honors at today’s open qualifier into the John Deere Classic, twirling a 9-under-par 33-30=63 to beat his closest competitors by two strokes.

Bullington circled eight birdies and an eagle to offset a lone bogey while playing at Pinnacle Country Club today. The Iowa Hawkeye product will be making his second career PGA TOUR start (MC, 2016 John Deere Classic). He got into that previous start via sponsor’s exemption. Spending his time on the PGA TOUR Latinoamerica circuit, Bullington is 0-for-7 on the season. Others to qualify today include Sean McCarty (-7), Vince India (-7), and Manav Shah (-6).
