Corey Nagy torched Gaston Country Club with an 8-under-par 31-32=63 to Monday Qualify for this week’s Wells Fargo Championship. Joining him will be Blake Olson, Ethan Tracy, and Mackenzie Hughes, who all signed for 7-under 62s.

Nagy circled a pair of eagles, playing the trio of par 5s at 4-under-par on this 6,986 yard layout. He swallowed just one bogey but it was still good enough to punch his ticket. The UNC-Charlotte product posted a 3-for-4 record on the Web.com Tour last year but has yet to tee it up on the big stage. In fact Hughes is the only qualifier with any PGA TOUR experience (0-for-3, no starts since 2013). Hughes is also 4-for-7 on the Web.com Tour this year, but nothing better than a T30. Hughes sets up shop out of Raintree Country Club in Charlotte, so he will be very comfortable with the surroundings this week and may carry some local knowledge into the event.
