The 30-year-old who attended Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, has hoisted three trophies (in six starts) this season on the Canadian circuit. He easily ranks first in the Order of Merit as he became the first to surpass $100,000 in a single season. He’s also first in scoring average, and fourth in birdie average. This season’s form comes a bit out of the blue since he entered 2016 with just three top 10s in 38 starts on the Mackenzie Tour. His lone start on the PGA TOUR came back in 2010 when he missed the cut at the U.S. Open, held at Pebble Beach Golf Links. His long-term profile suggests he is a long shot this week, but his current form says he could be a lively sleeper.
