The Milwaukee Brewers have signed starter Chase Anderson to a two-year contract through the 2019 season, with club options for 2020 and 2021. The extension buys out the rest of his arbitration eligibility and an additional year.
The deal guarantees Anderson $11.75 million and can max out at $31.35 million over four years. He will earn $4.25 million in 2018 and $6 million 2019. The 2020 option is worth $8.5 million or a $500k buyout $9.5 million for 2021 with a $500k buyout.
Anderson had a breakout year in 2017, going 12-4 with a 2.74 ERA in 25 starts, setting career highs for wins and strikeouts (133).
