According to Adrian Wojnarowski’s legendary twitter feed, the Milwaukee Bucks have signed recently waived Cavaliers forward Darnell Jackson.
Jackson is a solidly built forward who played four years at Kansas, winning a national championship with the team in 2008. He showed promise in his rookie season with the Cavaliers, but was out of the rotation entirely this year before he was waived. In the NBA, the most notable thing about Jackson may be that his rights were traded for Stan Van Gundy in 2007.
Jackson was waived after March 1st, so he will not be eligible to play in the playoffs for the Bucks. Milwaukee coach Scott Skiles likes hard-nosed players, which is what Jackson is when he’s at his best. It’s a long shot, but Jackson could end up being useful to the Bucks.
