Cleveland fans offer to help billionaire Dan Gilbert pay fine
Dan Gilbert can afford to buy his own lunch.
Sure he owns a company that did a lot of real estate loans and that’s not the most lucrative business in the world right now. And his basketball franchise is worth $150 million less than it was a week ago. He is still worth close to $1 billion.
Still, the big-hearted people of Cleveland want to help out. Gilbert was fined $100,000 by NBA Commissioner David Stern for going off on LeBron in an email and interview, and probably half of that is for using Comic Sans font.
Clevelanders have offered to pitch in, according to Associated Press. They liked his email. And is font, thank you very much.
Gilbert said thanks but he could get this tab.
