Adam Thielen may be on his way back to Minnesota.

The Vikings have inquired about trading for the veteran receiver, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

With Jordan Addison’s upcoming suspension and Jalen Nailor’s hand injury, Minnesota could use some more depth at receiver.

The Vikings and Thielen are plenty familiar with one another. After entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2013 with the club, Thielen began contributing as a receiver in 2014 before emerging as a true threat in 2016 when he caught 69 passes for 967 yards with five touchdowns.

Thielen’s last season with Minnesota was head coach Kevin O’Connell’s first with the club in 2022. The wideout caught 70 passes for 716 yards with six touchdowns that year.

While he missed seven games due to injury in 2024, Thielen still caught 48 passes for 615 yards with five TDs.

We’ll see if the Panthers and Vikings can come to an agreement to secure the reunion.

The Panthers are keeping their right tackle around.

Carolina announced on Friday that the club has agreed to a two-year extension with veteran Taylor Moton.

According to multiple early reports, the deal is worth $44 million with $40 million guaranteed.

Moton, who turned 31 earlier this week, was a second-round pick in the 2017 draft. He had appeared in 129 career games with 113 starts, all for Carolina.

Moton was previously entering the final year of his contract.

Steelers first-round defensive lineman Derrick Harmon was carted off the field late in the first half of Thursday night’s preseason finale.

Harmon got tangled with Panthers offensive lineman Brandon Walton and was twisted to the ground awkwardly. On the play, Panthers quarterback Jack Plummer threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to tight end James Mitchell with 17 seconds left in the second quarter.

Harmon was emotional on the cart as he left for the training room.

The Steelers have ruled out Harmon with a knee injury.

Harmon, who had one tackle before he left, was expected to start as a rookie.

The Steelers list wide receiver Brandon Johnson as questionable to return with a foot injury.

The Panthers have placed their key players in bubble wrap and called it a preseason.

The team lists 33 players as inactive for tonight’s preseason finale against the Steelers.

Coach Dave Canales already announced that the first-team offense and defense wouldn’t see action, along with backup quarterback Andy Dalton.

Backup running back Rico Dowdle, tight end Tommy Tremble, who was just activated back to the roster, and injured players Nic Scourton, DJ Johnson and LaBryan Ray are among others who won’t play.

Jack Plummer and Bryce Perkins, who was signed Monday, will handle the quarterback duties.

Panthers tight end Tommy Tremble won’t play against the Steelers on Thursday night, but he’s on track to play in Week 1 of the regular season.

The team announced that Tremble has been activated from the physically unable to perform list on Thursday. Tremble has been recovering from back surgery and head coach Dave Canales said earlier this week that all signs are positive for Tremble’s availability for the opener.

“Tommy is doing great,” Canales said, via the team’s website. “He’s running full speed, he’s looking towards just trying to get some more physical contact and get that adaptation part, before we can fully clear him. He’s had no setbacks, and so we’re excited to get Tommy back on the field doing something real soon.”

Tremble had 23 catches for 234 yards and two touchdowns for the Panthers last season.
