The Dolphins added an offensive lineman to their free agency agreements on Monday night.

Guard James Daniels has agreed to terms with the AFC East club. Per multiple reports, it is a three-year, $24 million deal in Miami.

Daniels was a 2018 second-round pick in Chicago and he signed a three-year deal with the Steelers in 2022. He’s seen time at both guard and center over the course of his career, but was at right guard in Pittsburgh in 2024.

That run was cut short when Daniels tore his Achilles in the fourth game of the season, so the Dolphins will be hoping he’s back to full health by the start of the season.

For the first time, quarterback Zach Wilson is a free agent. And he’ll be returning to the AFC East as he continues his effort to turn his career around.

Wilson, per multiple reports, has agreed to terms on a one-year, $6 million deal with the Dolphins. The base contract is fully guaranteed. He can earn up to $4 million in incentives.

The Dolphins have been criticized, justifiably, for failing to have sufficiently competent understudies to starter Tua Tagovailoa.

Wilson was the second overall pick in the 2021 draft. The Jets traded him to the Broncos last year. He was the consensus No. 2 prospect that year, after Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

Of five first-round quarterbacks that year, four became free agents today. Justin Fields has agreed to terms with the Jets. Trey Lance and Mac Jones remain available.

Wilson has appeared in 34 regular-season games, with 33 starts. He has a record of 12-21.

His name most likely won’t be mentioned in any of this week’s transactions, in large part because he’s been a free agent for months. But Odell Beckham Jr. has made other news, given his addition to a pending lawsuit against Diddy alleging sexual assault.

Taijuan Moorman of USA Today has the story regarding the new claims made by Ashley Parham against multiple defendants.

Beckham has denied the allegations in a post on Twitter.

“I have been informed of the allegations about me in a suit in [California],” Beckham said. “I really can’t believe that my name is mentioned in that matter. There is absolutely no truth to those allegations. I do not know and have never met the person that filed the suit. I was not anywhere near Orinda, CA at that time. In fact, I don’t think I have ever even been to Orinda, CA. I have never done anything like that, and I would never do anything like that to anyone. I’m confident that these ridiculous claims against me will be dismissed.”

The case will proceed, until it’s dismissed. And Beckham’s lawyers will have all devices available in their effort to achieve Beckham’s full and complete exoneration.

Beckham, a first-round pick of the Giants in 2014, has also played for the Browns, Rams, Ravens, and Dolphins. The Dolphins released him during the 2024 season, after the trade deadline.

One of the NFL’s highest-paid offensive tackles is on the move, again.

Per multiple reports, the Texans have traded left tackle Laremy Tunsil to the Commanders.

Via Adam Schefter of ESPN.co, the Commanders are sending a 2025 third-round pick, a 2025 seventh-round pick, a 2026 second-round pick, and a 2026 fourth-round pick to the Texans. The Texans are sending a 2025 fourth-round pick to the Commanders, with Tunsil.

Tunsil is signed for two more years. He has a base salary of $20.95 million in 2025 and a $20.95 million salary in 2026. He also has annual workout bonuses of $150,000 and $250,000 in per-game active roster bonuses.

A first-round pick in 2016 who slid when someone posted photos of him smoking marijuana in a gas mask just as the draft was starting, Tunsil has spent three years in Miami and six in Houston.

In 2019, he was traded to Houston for a package headlined by two first-round picks and a second-round pick.

The Dolphins announced a new deal with one of their own free agents on Monday.

They have signed defensive lineman Matt Dickerson to a new deal. They did not disclose any terms of the deal.

Dickerson signed to the Miami practice squad last October and then appeared in four games after being added to the active roster. He played 15 defensive snaps and one special teams snap in those appearances.

Dickerson has also played for the Chiefs, Falcons, and Titans since entering the league in 2018. He has 42 tackles, three tackles for loss, and three quarterback hits in 40 career games.
