Offensive tackle Jedrick Wills is trying to resume his NFL career.
The Browns made Wills the 10th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft and he spent five seasons in Cleveland, but he went on injured reserve in November 2023 with a knee injury and continued to have issues with it in 2024. He did not play at all during the 2025 season.
Per a report from NFL reporter Jordan Schultz, Wills visited with the Patriots and is meeting with the Lions on Thursday. Wills also reportedly has other visits lined up as he tries to get back into the league.
Wills started 57 games over his five seasons with the Browns.
The Patriots are moving on from receiver Stefon Diggs.
According to multiple reports, the Patriots have informed Diggs that they will release him at the start of the new league year next week.
With the Patriots putting the word out now, there is a chance a team will swoop in and trade for Diggs. The veteran receiver has $6 million guaranteed on his deal due to him next week if he is on the roster.
Coming off a torn ACL suffered in the 2024 season with the Texans, Diggs caught played all 17 games in 2025 and caught 85 passes for 1,013 yards with four touchdowns. He then had 14 receptions for 110 yards with a TD in the postseason, helping the Patriots reach Super Bowl LX.
Diggs has reached 1,000 yards receiving in seven of the last eight seasons. The one exception was in 2024 when he suffered the season-ending knee injury.
The Patriots will save $16.8 million against the cap with Diggs’ release.
Some Patriots players celebrated their AFC Championship win, once they finally returned to snowbound Boston. It was bound to create a problem for the owner of their chosen establishment.
Via NBC10 in Boston, the owner of Boston’s Estella on Temple Place blames a citation for “after-hours liquor sales, unauthorized entertainment and indoor smoking” on a private party involving members of the Patriots.
At a hearing held last Friday by the Mayor’s Office of Consumer Affairs and Licensing, owner Helder George Brandao admitted that rules were broken. He apologized, explaining that it was a “difficult situation involving ‘entitled people.’”
“We accept full responsibility for this matter,” Brandao told NBC10. “We are currently conducting an internal review to ensure this does not happen again. We have no further statement at this time while we focus on our resolution efforts.”
A police report explained that officers responded to a noise complaint at 2:20 a.m. ET on Tuesday, January 27. From the article posted by NBC10: “When they arrived, they found a private party going on in the basement of the restaurant. Officers noted that people were drinking and they smelled marijuana. They said security briefly blocked their access on the stairs and that several women who were nude or wearing bikinis ran toward the kitchen area. Officers also noticed several large hookahs in the room.”
The Monday night/early Tuesday timeline makes sense. The Patriots stayed in Denver until the day after their 10-7 victory in the AFC Championship, because of the weather.
Brandao said during the hearing that the group brought their own entertainment and alcohol. He also said that he tried to get them to wrap things up.
On Thursday morning, the Boston Licensing Board will determine the sanctions, if any.
The asking price is known. The outcome isn’t.

DraftKings has the Bears as the +200 favorites to secure his services via trade with the Raiders. Staying put with the Raiders is a +350 proposition.
Five teams are clustered at +700: the Rams (Fuck Them Picks, Part Two), Cowboys, Bills, Ravens, and Eagles.
The Patriots land at +1000, with the Lions and Buccaneers at +1200.
The Raiders, as PFT reported last week, want two first-round picks and a player for Crosby. Crosby, as Jay Glazer said during Super Bowl week, is “done” with the Raiders.
Whether this saga is done remains to be seen. Although no trades can become official until next Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. ET, teams can reach tentative agreements now.
The Patriots are back. Which means it will be more expensive to watch them play in person.
Via Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald, the Patriots will be raising prices on the “majority” of their season tickets for 2026.
The average increase will be seven percent, with most seats increasing by less than 10 percent. Fewer than 15 percent of the seats will see a price hike in excess of 10 percent.
Season-ticket holders will receive their invoices soon, with a renewal deadline of March 31.
As Callahan explains it, this is the first time that the Patriots have raised prices for a “majority” of their seats in four years, but only the second since 2008.
That’s a very specific explanation, making it possible (in theory) that half of the tickets have been increased in price every single year.
Still, the lowest season-ticket price is only $89 per game — which works out to $890 for the full year. The Patriots have the eighth-highest average season-ticket prices in the league.
