When the Dallas Cowboys, who are still processing the fact that one of their teammates has died while riding in a car with another teammate, take the field at Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday in Cincinnati, the Bengals will conduct a moment of silence, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The wording of the acknowledgement has not yet been determined, and it will be fashioned after the Bengals consult with the Cowboys.

Last week, the Chiefs conducted a moment of silence for all victims of domestic violence, one day after linebacker Jovan Belcher killed Kasandra Perkins and then committed suicide.

In this case, there’s no reason to omit reference to linebacker Jerry Brown (pictured), who while not blameless for getting into a car with a drunk driver was nevertheless the victim in this latest NFL tragedy.
