Browns-Broncos one-liners

Browns CB Eric Wright got dragged for several yards by RB Correll Buckhalter for the final score in a 27-6 blowout win for the Broncos.

Cornerbacks Brandon McDonald and Hank Poteat joined Wright as goats on a long day for the Browns secondary.

Browns QB Brady Quinn completed 18 of 31 passes for 161 yards and one interception, and was also sacked four times.

Browns LB Blake Costanzo forced and recovered a fumble on the opening kickoff, but the Browns could only manage a field goal on the ensuing drive.

Said Browns WR Joshua Cribbs, “I’m a little embarrassed on how we played today and how I played today.”

Broncos LB Elvis Dumervil gave his offense credit for building a big lead and creating a situation that led to his four sacks.

The Broncos defense allowed the Browns 200 yards on offense and stopped them on 11 of 14 third downs.

Broncos WR Eddie Royal missed the third quarter while getting an I.V. treatment to help with cramping.

Rookie Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno had 75 yards on 17 carries to go with Buckhalter’s 76 yards.

Broncos coach Josh McDaniels said there was no punitive reason why WR Brandon Marshall was on the bench for most of the second quarter.
