Jaguars poised to snap underdog streak vs. Titans

When they look at the Week 16 lines, pro football bettors might not believe their eyes.

The Jaguars are favored.

In early wagering in Nevada, Jacksonville opened a three-point home favorite vs. Tennessee in the final Thursday night game of the season.

According to Oddsshark.com, the Jaguars haven’t been favored in 42 consecutive games. Per point spread records, the Jaguars were 1-to-1.5-point favorites vs. Cincinnati on September 30, 2012, falling 27-10. Since then, though, they have been underdogs in the eyes of the betting public.

Jacksonville and Tennessee are both 2-12. However, the Jaguars were game in a 20-12 loss at AFC playoff contender Baltimore on Sunday, while the Titans lost at home to the struggling Jets.
