The Texans have reasons to be optimistic that safety Ed Reed can get off the physically unable to perform list and on the field.
Houston coach Gary Kubiak said the team got good news about Reed on Saturday, after he spent time working with a hip specialist in Atlanta.
Still, the time frame for Reed’s return to the field remains unclear. And Kubiak has been sounding optimistic notes about Reed for a month, and yet the Texans still haven’t been able to get Reed on the practice field.
So while the news on Reed may be good, we still don’t know if we’re going to see what would really qualify as good news: Reed on the field for the Texans in Week One.
