Bode Miller’s Olympic run isn’t over, but super combined represented one of his better medal opportunities. Yet, much like with men’s downhill, he went empty-handed. Afterward, he congratulated the medalists but also expressed his regrets.

At 36, Miller is likely aware that his Olympic window is closing. At the moment, it’s clear that he’s struggling with seeing his latest opportunity end in disappointment.
