On Tuesday the third round of the Capital One Cup begins in England as 14 Premier League teams still remain in the competition.
As least five will be on their way out of the League Cup, as 10 PL teams square off on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The pick of the bunch will come from North London as Arsenal host in-form Southampton at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday with the Gunners expected to rest plenty of defenders as their injury concerns continue. Saints’ coaching staff earmarked the League Cup as a competition that want to go far in this season, as they search for their first piece of major silverware since 1976. Other battles between PL team include Sunderland playing Stoke City and Swansea hosting Everton on Tuesday, while Crystal Palace welcome Newcastle, plus Swansea clas with Hull on Wednesday.

Holders Manchester City enter the tournament at this stage (along with other PL clubs Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton, Hull City and Tottenham) due to their involvement in European competition and they host Sheffield Wednesday at the Etihad on Wednesday.
Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea will be on upset alert as they all face teams from England’s second-tier at home. Look below for a full list of the midweek League Cup fixtures, as all ties will be finished on the night and go down to extra time and penalty kicks if necessary.
