Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho says the reigning champions may not rebound from their poor start to make the Premier League’s Top Four.

He’s also not worried about his job and quick to point out that other giant clubs have failed to make the UCL.

While he’s far from quitting on qualifying for next year’s UEFA Champions League through domestic standing, Mourinho says people need to relax when considering how dire it all would be.

From the BBC:

“Liverpool is a big club, Manchester United is a super big club. Last season Liverpool win nothing and didn’t qualify for the Champions League.

“Two years ago Man United didn’t qualify for the Champions League - not even Europa League - and won nothing. They are still a monster club, but that’s football.”

This is a different move from Mourinho, a man who always has a mighty and mystifying plan for his club. But would do these words signal?
