Braves optioned RHP Peter Moylan to Triple-A Richmond.
Moylan gave up six runs in his last two appearances, leaving him with a 9.53 ERA in 5 2/3 innings. Most discouraging was that right-handers hit .474 against him.

Giants recalled RHP Tristan Beck from Triple-A Sacramento.
Beck provides San Francisco with a fresh arm for Monday’s series opener against the Dodgers. The 29-year-old righty will be making his season debut when he gets into a game. He’s made 71 appearances for the Giants, registering a serviceable 3.94 ERA across 157 2/3 innings during that span, since 2023.
Giants' Webb a solid 'buy-low' fantasy target
With Logan Webb making a rare trip to the injured list, Eric Samulski dives into the ripple effects for the Giants' rotation and fantasy manager's rosters.
  • SF Relief Pitcher #66
Giants optioned RHP Dylan Smith to Triple-A Sacramento.
Smith was up with San Francisco for Sunday’s game against the Pirates and would up recording a pair of outs in his season debut. The 25-year-old was acquired from the Tigers in a small trade back in late March.
  • SF Catcher #13
Giants optioned C Logan Porter to Triple-A Sacramento.
Porter was up with San Francisco for a pair of contests over the weekend after Patrick Bailey was shipped to the Guardians in a trade. The 30-year-old will remain stationed on the doorstep of the big leagues as emergency depth.
  • BAL Catcher #29
Samuel Basallo was scratched from the lineup for Monday’s series opener against the Yankees with left knee discomfort.
Basallo will get some additional time off to recover after being involved in a home-plate collision during Sunday’s series finale against the Athletics. It’ll be Coby Mayo taking over at DH and hitting sixth to face Yankees lefty Ryan Weathers. The 21-year-old backstop has been tearing the cover off the ball recently, hitting .382 (21-for-55) with two homers and nine RBI over his last 15 games. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.
  • ATL Left Fielder #28
Braves re-signed OF José Azocar to a minor league contract.
Azocar spent a couple days testing the free agent waters before returning to Atlanta on a brand-new deal. The 30-year-old will continue to function as emergency outfield depth after getting into a pair of games for the Braves earlier this season.
  • TEX Starting Pitcher #17
Nathan Eovaldi has been scratched from Monday’s start against the Diamondbacks with left side tightness.
Not good. Jakob Junis will take the ball to open a bullpen game on Monday night in his place. Eovaldi was in line for a two-start week against Arizona and Houston after spinning an eight-inning masterpiece against the Yankees his last time out. The 36-year-old veteran will presumably undergo imaging to determine the severity of the issue and whether he’ll require a trip to the injured list. It’s obviously an alarming development for the Rangers, and fantasy managers as well. There should be a definitive update on his status at some point shortly.
  • AZ 1st Baseman #41
Carlos Santana (groin) reaggravated his previous adductor strain while playing for Triple-A Reno over the weekend.
Santana reinjured his shoulder over the weekend while on a minor league rehab assignment and won’t be returning to Arizona’s lineup anytime soon. The 40-year-old’s ongoing absence means even more job security for unexpected late-career breakout sensation Ildemaro Vargas at first base.
  • CHC Relief Pitcher #38
Cubs sent RHP Corbin Martin outright to Triple-A Iowa.
Martin passed through waivers unclaimed after being jettisoned from Chicago’s bullpen mix last week. The 30-year-old allowed six runs over five innings across seven appearances for the Cubs since April 18. He also picked up one save during that timeframe.
  • NYM 1st Baseman #39
Mets sent 1B/OF Eric Wagaman outright to Triple-A Syracuse.
Wagaman went unclaimed on waivers after being removed from New York’s 40-man roster last weekend. The 28-year-old will remain with the Mets as organizational depth rather than elect free agency to test the open market.
  • HOU Shortstop #1
Carlos Correa underwent season-ending ankle surgery on Monday.
Technically, Correa tore the peroneus brevis tendon in his left ankle. The 31-year-old infielder suffered the injury during pregame batting practice last week. His absence means Isaac Paredes will handle the hot corner for the remainder of the year, which is undoubtedly a boost to his fantasy appeal.
