Marte has been sizzling at the plate lately, with Wednesday’s performance marking his fourth multi-hit game in his past six contests. He hasn’t been his usual self this year, with his walk rate in particular dropping meaningfully. With a track record like Marte’s, it’s usually only a matter of time until positive regression hits.

Kelly struck out four and didn’t walk anyone as Arizona went on to sweep San Francisco in three games. The veteran righty allowed a whopping 19 earned runs over a three-start sample earlier this year, but he’s pitched much better over his past three contests, which include a complete game at Coors Field. He’ll look to continue mixing and matching with his six-pitch arsenal in his next outing, a repeat matchup against the Giants, but this time in San Francisco.

One would figure Sewald will hold onto the closer role as long as he continues pitching this well.

Schmitt has career-bests in barrel rate, hard-hit rate, and most of his expected stats. The one nitpick is that his walk rate has fallen this year too, but fantasy managers will take the tradeoff for now. He opened the year buried at the bottom of the Giants’ lineup, but he’s hit fourth or higher in each of his starts since May began.
