Julio Rodríguez made an early exit from Wednesday’s game against the Orioles.

Rodríguez was replaced in center field to open the seventh inning after going 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored. The Mariners have been dealing with an avalanche of injuries and losing their franchise cornerstone for any amount of time would be disastrous. There should be an update on his status following the contest.

Yandy Díaz (shoulder) is in the lineup for Tuesday’s series opener against the Royals.

Díaz is back at DH and hitting leadoff, as expected, following an early exit from Sunday’s contest against the Diamondbacks with a left shoulder strain. It doesn’t appear to be a significant concern for the 34-year-old on-base machine, who has been at the epicenter of Tampa Bay’s stellar first half along with young slugger Junior Caminero. It’s a situation fantasy managers should closely monitor, but it doesn’t seem like Díaz is going to wind up missing any game action for now.

Eric Samulski discusses George Kirby's fantasy upside with improved command and swing-and-miss with his secondary pitches in the curveball and sweeper after a strong outing on Monday.

Mitchell Parker has been diagnosed with a Grade 3 UCL sprain and will likely require season-ending Tommy John surgery, according to Nationals manager Blake Butera.

It’s pretty much a worst-case scenario outcome for Parker after hitting the shelf with elbow inflammation earlier this week. The 26-year-old lefty has posted a lackluster 6.58 ERA across 39 2/3 innings out of the Nationals bullpen this season.

Braves manager Walt Weiss told reporters Ronald Acuña Jr. (hamstring) is a long shot to return before next month’s All-Star break.

Acuña went through a pregame workout at Truist Park prior to Tuesday’s game against the Cardinals as he continues to be brought along slowly from a left hamstring strain that’s required a pair of injured list stints since early May. There’s zero incentive for Atlanta to rush him back too quickly and risk a setback, but it sounds like there’s a chance he’ll make it back in mid-to-late July.

Rangers recalled RHP Gavin Collyer from Triple-A Round Rock.

Collyer provides Texas with a fresh bullpen arm heading into Tuesday’s showdown against the Guardians. The 25-year-old has posted a respectable 3.71 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 14/15 K/BB ratio across 17 innings of work at the big-league level this season.

Rangers designated RHP Chris Paddack for assignment.

Well, that was fast. Paddack’s stint with the Rangers lasted roughly 24 hours during which he allowed two runs over four innings in a long relief outing. The 30-year-old righty has made 14 appearances, including nine starts) between the Rangers, Reds and Marlins this season. At his current pace, Paddack has a real shot at breaking Edwin Jackson’s record of pitching for 14 different organizations.

Max Fried (elbow) will face hitters in another live batting practice session on Sunday.

Fried progressed to facing hitters in a 30-pitch, two-inning session on Tuesday for the first time since hitting the injured list with a bone bruise in his elbow back in mid-May. The 32-year-old is trending towards being ready for rehab starts in early July and should make it back to New York’s rotation sometime after the All-Star break.

Anthony Seigler is at second base and hitting leadoff on Tuesday against the Nationals.

Seigler receives his first opportunity atop Boston’s lineup in his 11th consecutive start at the keystone since being brought up from Triple-A Worcester back on June 20. The versatile 27-year-old blasted his first career homer over the weekend and is hitting a blistering .361 (13-for-36) with one homer, three RBI and one steal through 12 games in the big leagues this season. There’s nothing in his minor-league track record to suggest he’ll blossom into a highly impactful fantasy contributor, but he’s making some noise and could be useful as a temporary stopgap in deeper leagues.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters Patrick Corbin has been moved to the bullpen.

Schneider told reporters it’ll likely be rookie Spencer Miles getting the ball for a bullpen game in place of Corbin, who was originally scheduled to start Wednesday’s series finale against the Mets. The 36-year-old veteran has pitched to a cromulent 5.09 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 52/24 K/BB ratio across 69 innings over 15 starts this season. His rotation spot will likely go to Max Scherzer (back) once he’s ready to come off the injured list in a few weeks.

Eugenio Suárez (hand) is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s contest against the Brewers.

Suárez returns to the hot corner and is hitting cleanup following a brief one-game absence after being hit by a pitch on the left hand over the weekend. The 34-year-old veteran slugger underwent imaging, including a CT scan, that didn’t reveal any fractures or structural damage. It’s a significant relief for Cincinnati, and fantasy managers, after a couple tense days of waiting.

Jazz Chisholm has cleared concussion protocol and will be available off the bench for Tuesday’s game against the Tigers.

Chisholm appears to have avoided a serious injury after a frightening collision with teammate Jasson Domínguez on a pop-up in shallow right field during Monday’s game against Detroit. It’ll be speedster José Caballero taking over at second base on Tuesday evening, but fantasy managers shouldn’t anticipate a lengthy absence.
