Deshaun Watson completed 27-of-33 passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns in the Browns’ 27-3, Week 3 win over the Titans.
Watson had yet another shaky first half, making one of the worst plays by anyone in the league all day. Getting sacked in the second quarter, he heaved the ball backwards for a ludicrous fumble. Thankfully, the Browns recovered, and unlike Watson’s Weeks 1 and 2, he actually recovered, too. Watson hit Amari Cooper for an uncovered 43-yard score in the fourth quarter, identifying a coverage bust. Watson also had Cooper for a long score in the first half, but the referee inexplicably ruled Cooper out of bounds and blew the play dead, making it non-reviewable. Something still seems off about this entire operation, but there is enough here for Watson to work with in the QB10-16 range. The Ravens are a tough Week 4 matchup before the Browns’ bye.
