  • ATL Tight End #8
Falcons TE Kyle Pitts (hamstring) was a full participant in Thursday’s practice.
Pitts was listed as limited on Wednesday but took to social media later in the evening to downplay the severity of his injury. Pitts doesn’t appear to be at risk of missing Sunday’s Week 1 contest against the Steelers, which is good news for his fantasy managers, who hope a season with Kirk Cousins can help him tap into his fullest fantasy potential. After posting a 68-1,026-1 line as a rookie, Pitts has totaled just 81 receptions for 1,023 yards and five touchdowns over the last two years combined. He profiles as a mid-TE1 against the Steelers but could become one of the best values in fantasy drafts if Cousins can unlock him.
  • CIN Tight End #83
Bengals HC Zac Taylor told reporters, “We certainly like what we see,” regarding rookie TE Erick All Jr.
Taylor adds, “You can put a lot on his plate.” All notably tied veteran TE Drew Sample for a positional, team-high 33 offensive snaps in Week 2. The rookie is promisingly averaging 1.78 yards per route run while having caught 4-of-4 targets through two weeks. All can be speculatively stashed on deep-league benches, though it could take some time for him to separate.
  • CHI Wide Receiver #15
Bears WR Rome Odunze (knee) was limited in Thursday’s practice.
Odunze’s consecutive LP designations are an upgrade on last week’s DNP, DNP and LP designations. He was on-field for 66-of-70 possible snaps last week so fantasy managers should expect him to suit up once again in Week 3.
  • CHI Wide Receiver #13
Keenan Allen (heel) did not practice Thursday.
This makes back-to-back practices that Allen wasn’t able to participate in after missing Week 2 against the Texans. It seems very likely that the 32-year-old will miss Week 3 against the Colts as well, meaning more targets for Rome Odunze (knee) and snaps for DeAndre Carter and potentially Velus Jones.
  • IND Defensive End #97
Colts EDGE Laiatu Latu (hip) did not practice on Thursday.
Latu’s chances of suiting up this week are unfortunately decreasing. The Colts pass rush also lost DL DeForest Buckner (back/ankle) to injured reserve this week, notably weakening the unit. The news bodes positively for Bears QB Caleb Williams.
  • IND Wide Receiver #1
Colts WR Josh Downs (ankle) was a full participant in Thursday’s practice.
This is Downs’ second consecutive FP this week. Barring a setback, the dynamic slot receiver should be on-field for the Colts’ Week 3 game against the Bears on Sunday. Downs can be trusted as a flex-worthy starter, though Bears slot CB Kyler Gordon is no pushover.
  • IND Kicker #7
Matt Gay (quad) was a full participant for Thursday’s practice.
Gay is still battling a quad issue, but he was able to play in Week 2 and the full session Thursday suggests he’ll handle kicking duties against the Bears in Week 3.
  • ATL Running Back #25
Tyler Allgeier (hip) was a full participant during Thursday’s practice.
Allgeier was limited Wednesday with his hip issue, but the full practice session Thursday is a good sign that he’ll be ready to go Sunday against the Chiefs in Week 3. If healthy, Allgeier is likely looking at around 10 touches — the same amount he had in Week 2 — against Kansas City.
  • TEN Running Back #2
Tyjae Spears (ankle) was spotted at the open portion of practice Thursday.
Spears missed Wednesday’s practice with his ankle injury, but the second-year tailback told reporters he was going to play in Week 3 against the Packers on Sunday, and getting back on the field Thursday is a step towards that. Spears will continue to see touches in the Tennessee backfield, but he appears behind Tony Pollard in terms of fantasy significance at this stage.
  • PIT Wide Receiver #10
Roman Wilson (ankle) was listed as a full participant for Thursday’s practice.
Wilson was able to get in a full session after being limited Wednesday. The rookie wideout was also a full participant in last week’s Thursday practice, however, and he didn’t see the field. It still seems likely that Wilson is going to be available for Week 3, but there’s no guarantee of a significant role for that contest.
  • MIN Wide Receiver #18
Vikings WR Justin Jefferson (quad) was seen practicing on Thursday.
Jefferson was a limited participant in Wednesday’s walkthrough as well. Both developments bode positively for his Week 3 availability against the Texans. His official practice designation has yet to be released but fantasy managers should be encouraged by another LP. Ideally, Jefferson will fully participate tomorrow but even a setback-free day with limited participation would give him decent odds of suiting up.
