Champan finished the week at 13-under 68-67-64-72=271 at The Golf Club at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor, Mich. Many U.S. fans aren’t familiar with the Englishman, as the only events he’s competed in on the PGA TOUR were all in the British Open. Starting in 1977 and continuing through 2002, he played in 17 editions, finishing as high as T12 in 1991. With this victory, he is now exempt into the PGA Championship in August.
