Arturas Karnisovas, the man now in charge of the basketball operations in Chicago, has found his right-hand man.
Marc Eversley, formally the senior vice president of player personnel in Philadelphia, agreed to become the GM of the Bulls. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN broke the story and K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago has confirmed it.Eversley, who is leaving his position as vice president of player personnel for the Philadelphia 76ers, joins the Bulls after Karnisovas reached agreements with J.J. Polk as an assistant general manager with expertise in salary cap management and Pat Connelly in a player personnel role.

Michael Reinsdorf, son of Bulls’ owner Jerry Reinsdorf, has worked to remake the Bulls front office, which was stuck in a rut with John Paxson (now a consultant with the team) and Gar Forman, the former GM who was fired. Karnisovas was brought in to shake things up, and he has done just that.
The front office makeover is not complete, reports NBC’s Johnson, adding that the Bulls are looking hard at former player turned young front office star Nazr Mohammed in Oklahoma City, although his role in Chicago is unclear at this point.
Eventually, Karnisovas and his new front office will turn their attention to the coaching situation, where Jim Boylen wants to keep the job but is not popular with key players. However, it is highly unlikely any coaching decisions are made during the forced suspension of the NBA season. Once the league ramps up for a fanless postseason or just cancels the season outright, then that topic will get more serious attention.
