The San Antonio Spurs have lost eight in a row, the latest to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night, and they might be the worst team in the NBA this season.

That doesn’t discount what Victor Wembanyama is doing. He had 19 points and 13 rebounds against Memphis, but his eight blocks really turned heads.

Wembanyama changes the geometry of the court with his length and defense. That will be the foundation of whatever is built in San Antonio in the coming years.

Memphis got 27 points from Jaren Jackson Jr. and 26 from Desmond Bane in the much-needed win.
