The Giants are out to an early lead in Denver.

Quarterback Jaxson Dart ended the team’s third offensive possession with a 44-yard touchdown strike to tight end Daniel Bellinger. It was Bellinger’s first touchdown since the 2022 season and they lead the Broncos 7-0 with 6:54 to go in the first quarter.

Dart also hit wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson for a 23-yard gain earlier in the drive and is now 4-of-9 for 90 yards.

The Broncos have punted both times they’ve had the ball and will be looking for better results from Bo Nix the rest of the way as they try to improve to 5-2 on Sunday.

Giants rookie edge rusher Abdul Carter was a late-week addition to the team’s injury report, but he’s good to go on Sunday.

Carter is active after being listed as questionable to face the Broncos due to a hamstring injury. Carter has 13 tackles, a half-sack and eight quarterback hits so far this season.

Wide receiver Darius Slayton, linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles, linebacker Swayze Bozeman, defensive lineman Chauncey Golston, center John Michael Schmitz, offensive lineman Evan Neal, and quarterback Jameis Winston are inactive for the Giants.

Linebacker Dre Greenlaw will make his Broncos debut after being activated on Saturday. Running back Jaleel McLaughlin, defensive lineman Jordan Jackson, defensive lineman Sai’vion Jones, linebacker Jonah Elliss, and safety J.T. Gray are their inactive players.

Wide receiver Darius Slayton was listed as doubtful to play for the Giants on Friday and he was ruled out on Saturday.

The Giants announced that Slayton will not make the trip to Denver. He did not play in Week 6 either and missed practice all this week with a hamstring injury.

The team also announced that offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo will not travel for the game. Assistant offensive line coach James Ferentz will handle Bricillo’s duties on Sunday.

Defensive lineman Chauncey Golston (neck) was also ruled out on Saturday. Linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (hamstring), linebacker Swayze Bozeman (ankle), and center John Michael Schmitz (concussion) were ruled out on Friday and the team said all four players will also remain at home.

The Broncos could have linebacker Dre Greenlaw in the lineup for the first time this season when they face the Giants on Sunday.

Greenlaw was designated for return from injured reserve this week and he moved up to full practice participation on Friday. Greenlaw, who has been sidelined with a quad injury, is listed as questionable to play.

The Broncos would need to make a roster move in order to activate Greenlaw by 4 p.m. ET on Saturday.

Linebacker Jonah Elliss (shoulder) was the only other Broncos player to receive an injury designation. He has been ruled out for this weekend.

Free agent wide receiver Treylon Burks has agreed to join the Commanders’ practice squad, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports.

Rapoport added that an elevation for Burks could come quickly. The Commanders need immediate help at the position with star wide receivers Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) and Deebo Samuel (heel) out of Thursday’s practice and Noah Brown (groin) on injured reserve.

The Titans waived Burks from injured reserve last week, making him a free agent. He worked for the Broncos on Tuesday and visited the Commanders.

He was recently cleared for all football activities after recovering from a fractured collarbone in training camp.

Burks joined the Titans with the 18th overall pick in the 2022 draft. The Titans acquired that selection by trading wide receiver A.J. Brown to the Eagles, and the decision to trade Brown rather than sign him to a long-term deal did not work out for Tennessee.

Burks was limited to 22 games in his first two seasons, and he tore his ACL in the fifth game of the 2024 campaign. He had 53 catches for 699 yards and a touchdown.
